Leona Jurincie attended
the University of Chicago at Circle Campus and studied at the School
of the Art Institute. She later fine tuned her art skills with various
teachers in multiple mediums. Her love of portraiture and florals
are apparent in her glowing watercolors and oils, and winning top
awards with her exquisitely detailed work. She loves to travel,
using her camera to compile reference photos, which she later uses
to develop into works of art.
Not only is Leona a working artist, but she also teaches at several
locations, is a courtroom sketch artist for The Times in Northwest
Indiana, and gives painting seminars and workshops. She also has
taught art workshops at grade schools and high schools.
